In Oracle ebs, Security rules used to restrict
user access to one segment values of COA (Chart of Accounts), when user try to
enter journals or performing online inquiries or running FSG and some standard
reports. Security rule function at responsibility
level therefore it assigned to responsibility.

Pre Requisites of Security Rule Setup
- Define New
Responsibility which you want to restrict t to specific User - Enable Security Rule
at Segment form - Assign “Non Hierarchical Security” at Value Set
Level - Verification of Number of value exist in Segment

Navigation: General Ledger –> Setup –>
Financial –> Flexfields –> Key –> Security –> Define.
Financial –> Flexfields –> Key –> Security –> Define.
